What’s the Weather Like Year-Round in the Treasure Valley?
The Treasure Valley’s weather is one of the reasons so many people are drawn to Boise, Eagle, and the surrounding area. With four true seasons, mild conditions, and plenty of sunshine, it’s the perfect blend of variety without extremes.
A Four-Season Climate with Balance
Unlike parts of the country that lean heavily into humidity or endless rain, the Treasure Valley offers balance. Winters are cool but not brutal, summers are warm and dry, and spring and fall bring crisp mornings and pleasant afternoons.
Winter: December through February
Winters are relatively mild in Boise and Eagle. Average highs sit in the upper 30s to low 40s, with occasional dips below freezing at night. Snow does fall, but it tends to melt quickly in the valley, while nearby mountains keep skiers and snowboarders happy all season.
Spring: March through May
Spring comes with fresh greenery and wildflowers. Daytime highs range from the 50s in March to the 70s by late May. Showers are possible, but they’re usually short-lived and bring a welcome refresh to the landscape.
Summer: June through August
Summers in the Treasure Valley are warm, sunny, and dry. Highs often reach the 80s and 90s, with the occasional triple-digit day in July or August. Luckily, low humidity makes the heat feel more comfortable than in many parts of the country. Evenings cool down, making patio dinners a favorite local pastime.
Fall: September through November
Fall may be the most beloved season in Boise and Eagle. Crisp air, colorful leaves, and highs ranging from the 60s in September to the 40s in November make for a beautiful transition.
